Almost April!

Well...it's been awhile since my last update...but I'm still alive.  These past few weeks have been really busy for me.  Two of the girls I work with quit, making me take on like ten extra hours a week to accomodate.  I'm really leading a lot of the classes now (but I have yet to see that raise I was promised when I was hired!) But anyway...I love the gym and the kids and the people I work with, so I'm okay with it for now. I get out at lunch most days, so I really miss my sixth and seventh period classes.  (esp. Sarah, Devon, Timothy, Collin, Walker, Jacob, and Mr. B!) I'm getting a little nervous about the whole graduation thing.  I took senior pictures over spring break, and having to take one in the cap and gown kinda forced me to see just how close to independence I really am! I went to church for the first Sunday in like two months this past week.  I am usually working every Sunday, doing like three or four birthday parties, but we started working on rotation weekends, so I was off.  Though I hate when people say things like "I haven't seen you in forever, you should come more..." or "are you doing okay...I haven't seen you in a while," it was still good to be back.  I even sat with the youth...despite my silly inhibitions! So anyway...it was good.  I was getting kind of worried about prom this year.  My mom has been totally excited about the whole ordeal. She graduated early, and never went to a high school prom, so she is somewhat living vicariously through me! It's not that I haven't been excited also, it's just that in a school with 45 seniors, you almost have to take someone from outside of the school.  My issue with that is that not only would my friends thing I was retarded for thinking they'd want to go to a h.s. "dance," but if they happened to take me up on the invite...they'd never get along with Brandi! (And I'd never get them to stay for the after-prom events.) So I was in a predicament.  But then the wonderful Craig Smith asked me to go with him...and it was the perfect solution! I just wanted to go with a guy who was a friend, but the most important thing to me is that Craig is undoubtedly a Christian...which takes all the pressure off of me that I would face bringing an outsider, who most likely would not be a Christian.  My origional plan is to get a limo with Brandi etc., but now I will go with Craig and his friends, and though I might feel a little out of place, I still like the idea of this better.  When I told my parents at about 11:00, they were practically glowing with happiness! Craig's dad is my pastor, and my parents absolutely love his entire family! My mom is already talking about getting together before prom and taking pictures and all that kind of thing. When I told her I hadn't said "yes" yet, she was furious, and told me to call him immediately (now at 11:30 p.m.) and tell him yes! Point being, I'm going to prom with Craig...who is pretty much the most genuine person at PCA by my judgment! It might be hard for me to try to come out of my shell without Brandi there next to me, but I'm really going to try! I don't dance, though, aside from slow dancing, so that is now my main concern. Well that and the fact that I cannot walk outside in my dress, because if the wind happens to blow, everyone will have an undesired view of the lower half of my body. I think I'll stay as far from the wind on this night as I can. And I'll bring spare clothes. Next topic...I went to Oklahoma C.U. Spring Sing a few weeks back, and am absolutely in love with the college! I got $30,000 in scholarships so far, and will be getting my laptop computer in May! I met a few people that I'll see again at orientation...Jose, Seth, and Rickey were my favorites, though! I just wish I could take all of my friends with me on this endeavor!! Well...it is 7:33, so I think it is time to start getting ready for school!

There is a possiblility that I might go to church tomorrow.  It will be the first time in like over a month I think! We'll see.  I was going to go to the movie night tonight, but it took too long at the Sonic drive thru, so I got mad, and then went with Tiff and Brandi instead.

"when you walk into somebody's house or apartment for the first time, you should look around and say, 'so this is where all the magic happens.' i don't know why, but it makes everyone uncomfortable."
